As I finished the call I noticed a family cutting in line just in front of me; they were loud.

My phone rang, “Mr. Feldman? What happened with Mrs. Crenshaw?” he asked.

“I had just made an appointment with her; I’ll see her next Sunday”

“Why not this Sunday? I have been telling you that we need clients, so start doing your job that is what I’m paying for!” he said yelling.

“I was here before“ I told them; “do not shout at me I’m trying to do some shopping”. He said

“You want me to shout? You will see the meaning of shouting!”

Finally the man punched me on the face. I did not have a tissue. That man with his family left the supermarket just as the police came nearby.

I received a call; it was Mr. Wong saying that the previous message was a bluff and that he was interested in better offers. I felt that finally I had received a good news.

I decided to fulfill the engagement with the Wong family, not just because it was my job, I needed that Feldman noticed that I could be an efficient employee.
So I made an appointment and when I arrived with them I thought that they looked familiar, of course they were the noisy family of the supermarket!

Finally reached the cashier to pay for my purchases,I took out my wallet and I realized I did not bring cash, so I had to use the credit card, it did not pass.

God I had a ugly day.

Friday

Today I only have two classes, the first one was pharmaceutical attention, it is useful, because in the class you can see how to treat he patients in a hospital, but it´s hard to stay the 3 consecutive hours in the same place, sometimes I use this time to complete my notebook of the followed laboratory, analytical experimental II.
This laboratory is fun, today I determinate chrome and magnesium in a steel piece. I felt like Metalurgic just like my boyfriend.
Today my friends and I made a party to a friend, it was nice, because she didn’t imagine it, we made it in the school.
I felt angry because I didn´t have internet.

Thursday

I liked my bacteriology class, we saw an interesting topic: gonorrhea. After this class I had free time, I saw Arturo, we had breakfast and then I went to my genetic class, it was so interesting but I was sleepy at the class.
Subsequently I had to go to the toxicology class we started the toxicity in metals, I found this topic so interesting because of Arturo, he works with metals, and I was worry for the toxics in the metals.
Then I saw Arturo to go to eat, he has to go to his class at 3pm so we had to eat fast, and I had to go to the Bacteriology laboratory to wash the tubes and all material. This class was boring because it was only theory.

Wednesday

I woke up late, because I didn´t have class until 11 it was my biochemistry laboratory, the practice was boring because we have to wait first 30 minutes to include a plasmid resistant to Kanamicina in to a bacteria, then we have to make a thermal shock, after that we needed to wait other hour, after that we have to put the bacteria to the agar.
Then I went to the bibliotheca to answer my genetic questions, I was stressed because this questions have to be right because it will be my exam.
Arturo meet me at the bibliotheca, he continued reading New Moon until 3pm, when we had to go to CELE to take our English class.
This day was tranquil.

Tuesday

The teacher Garza of bacteriology told to the class that we are going to have an exam next Thursday. I like this class because is interesting how bacteria´s produce disease, how works their system of replication or how their produce toxins.
At that time the class finished I saw Arturo and we spent time with him.
Then I had to go to my genetic and molecular biology class, I liked the topic we studied this day, and then I went to my toxicology class in this I made an exercise about a report.
Then I went to eat with my boyfriend, he was so nice so lovely, because he treated me like Edward Cullen to Bella Swan when they have a date.
Then I went to my bacteriology laboratory, it was a little bit awful, because my team made a urocultive, after that we had a theory class.
At the night I chatted with my friends, I chatted with my best friend Daniela she told me that she was happy because she saw the boy she likes.

Monday

Today I was terrified because I had a toxicology laboratory exam and a presentation about a practice called “Determination of caffeine and acetylsalicylic acid in a sample” at 7 am.
I felt that I hadn´t studied all the details about the topics for the exam. I was so nervous.
I arrive at school at 6:45am, and went strictly to my laboratory there I saw my friends talking about how the exam was going to be.
I started to feel anxious and bad like when I got an allergic reaction I started to sweat cold.
My friend Jesus was studying the reactions of Malathion when I asked him how the fifth practice, and then suddenly the teacher appeared in the corridor.
I said”Hello, Good morning teacher, how are you?”, she answered me that she was fine and she asked me if I had studied for the exam and I told her that, yes I have studied but I was nervous because it was a big exam with a lot of topics, and she told me that the exam would be easy, because it was only a few problems about what we had seen in the class.
I have to admit, I´m one of the predilected student of my teacher Perla.
After the presentations of the topic I presented the exam, I felt it was easy.
Then I went to my Bacteriology laboratory to see my biochemical test and it was citrate positive, I was so happy because in that moment I knew what bacteria I had of a problem that the teacher gave me, I had Salmonella typhy.
At my class of biochemistry I solve genetic problems, it was boring the class, but useful because I have to solve a similar problem at Friday.
I saw my boyfriend Arturo to go with him after to our English class.
Next I went to my house to do my homework and to rest.
It was a rare day because all the feelings that I had.

Story:

They didn´t know where they were, their hearts were beating faster than ever, they were nervous because they only knew that they had one billion dollars and a lot of problems.

A big noise sounds at the time at the door of a usual house, Alice who was next to the door felt the knocking of the door on her chest, she started to search for a lamp in her bag, but John was in the middle of the dark and in a cold room began to crawl towards the sound of Alice´s bag.

Then, he realized that he had the matches in his pocket, he lit a little part of that room, so Alice could find the lamp and she saw 10 backpacks filled with cash and jewelry. Suddenly she and John could remember almost everything. They could remember how they had stolen a bank.

It was a perfect plan; it had a little problem because they left traces of their DNA on the crime scene, and the bank´s blueprints on the vault. The police tried to catch them; they made act recreations, chemical tests, even when Alicia and John were careless the police were so close to catch them.

John was trying to reassure Alice because she though the knocking at the door was the police and because she was hiding the backpacks, the jewelry and the documents in a secret compartment. John told Alice:
-Calm down sweetie, the cops aren’t here….
-Come on, do you really want me to be calmed? Just look around what a mess! You don´t know why these documents are so important to me.-She said in dispair.
-Alright, do you want me to say, why are these documents so important for you to commit a robbery?

My Profile I´m Berenice, I´m 20 years old; like my name says I´m a nice girl, also I´m sweet,friendly and attractive.
I'm studying Pharmaceutical Biological Chemistry at UNAM because I am very interested in the role of bacteria in our everyday lives, how vaccines are produced and how beneficial or harmful they may be.
I like the book series of Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, Breaking Down, Midnight Sun; I also like Romeo and Juliet and the Harry Potter series as well.
I enjoy going shopping, and hanging around at the Starbucks Coffee Shop; my favorite beverage is the Venti Extra Real Caramel Mocha Frappuccino. Have you tried it?

Hello, my name is Berenice Pérez Del Castillo. I´m glad that you are here in Mexico, because we are kind, friendly, very nice, just to mention a few qualities of the Mexican people.

Our food is really delicious, you should try the pozole, it is prepared with grains of corn, beef, lettuce, spices, sauce of hot peppers (chile de árbol) and raddishes; at the same time you can eat toasts with cream and white striped cheese; our you can try tacos al pastor and prepare it with little pieces of pineapple and sauce, but if you don’t like pineapple, try tacos of suadero or longaniza this tacos are so delicious and wonderful in Mexico because you can add sauce of hot peppers, cilantro and onion.

Besides, you can find different locations of the city like downtown where you can go to Templo Mayor it´s a historic place or you can visit the museums like the Anthropology Museum, MUAC, Modern Arts Museum, San Ildefonso Museum, Universum Museum or Chapultec Castle; also, there are beautiful places out of the city to visit like Guanajuato where you can see green and blue fields of agave, Corralejo´s Factory (tequila´s factory); between February and April you can see the Monarca butterfly´s sanctuary that are the Oyamel woods at Michoacan, if you enjoy the sun and having fun at night you should go to Cancun or Playa del Carmen because you can do both.

I have to tell you that I want to visit your country, because I want to know how to ski and skate on ice, visit your Museums, visit Niagara Falls and more.

My expectations

I think this course will be useful and fun. I hope to pass the course and of course learn as much as I can and more.I hope to make friends here at CELE too.

I want to improve my skills in writing because I dream of publishing some research that I´m going to do in the biological area. Furthermore, I want to improve my vocabulary, spealling, speaking and grammar skills because I want to travel around the world and meet new people, see cultures maybe I can have different experiences in England, Australia, the US or another country where English is used as a first language.

I believe this couse will make a difference in my life, because I´ll have to read books, articles, listen to conversations and write in English for my Master´s Degree and P.H.D.
